Ingredients
- Rice- 30g
- Moong Dal- 15g
- Chana (Roasted gram- 15g
- Sago (Sabudana)- 15g
- Almond Or any other nut (If not found allergic/ optional)- 10- 12 pcs
Instructions
Preparations:
- Wash rice, moong dal, and sago separately. Soak them in water for about 30 minutes
- Drain the water and spread them on a clean cloth to dry in the shade for few hours
Roasting:
- Dry roast rice in a pan until it turns slightly golden and emits a nutty aroma. Set aside.
- Dry roast moong dal and chana until golden and aromatic. Set aside.
- Dry roast sago until it puffs up. Set aside.
- Roast Almond or any other nut until they are slightly brown
Grinding:
- After all ingredients have cooled down, grind them into fine powder using a blender.
- Sieve the mixture to ensure a smooth, fine powder. Repeat grinding if necessary
Storage:
- Store this homemade ceralac in an airtight container in a cool dry place. It can be stored for upto a month.
Preparation for feeding:
- Take 1 table spoon of the above mixture, add luke warm water or breast milk to form a paste. Stir continuously to avoid lumps. You can adjust the consistency as per your baby’s preference.
