1. Drink Water

During pregnancy, your blood gives oxygen and other necessary supplements to the baby through the placenta and diverts waste. This implies that your blood volume expands to half to deal with this additional action. Therefore, you should drink more. 8 glasses of water per day is recommended.

2. Folate Food

Pregnant women can have up to six meals containing many folate-rich foods, such as fortified cereals, wheat germ, lentils,  fortified cereals, and orange juice. This is required for building new red blood cells and developing a baby’s spinal cord.

3.  Sleep is important

You take at  least eight hours of sleep and nap during the day if you have a sleep disturbance. See a doctor if you feel sleep deprived.

4. Exercise

To improve circulation, reduce stress and boost the mind, walk for at least 15 to 20 minutes daily moderately in cool or indoor places. You can try any exercise of low impact only with the prior permission of your doctor. You can also walk for half an hour on a daily basis but try not to overdo it.

5. Educate Yourself

Attending a childbirth class will help you feel  prepared for delivery, even if this is not your first baby. Tell your doctor about any issues you’ve had with past pregnancies and congenital disabilities in your family.

6. Remove Toxins

Pregnant women should avoid alcohol, tobacco and  illegal drugs as they are linked to congenital disabilities, miscarriage, and other issues. Smoking cigarettes reduce the supply of oxygen to the baby. Further, these Toxins are responsible for preterm birth and other issues.

7. Be Careful With Medication

You should avoid taking over-the-counter medicines as it will  increase the chances of miscarriage. Always consult your doctor first.

8. Time For Shoe Shopping

Your center of gravity shifts as a result of your natural weight gain, placing additional stress on your feet. Over time, this additional pressure can result in painful overpronation or foot flattening. Therefore, it’s essential to wear comfortable shoes when you’re pregnant.

9. Take More Fruits

Fruits like apples and bananas contain natural sugars, which can help increase energy levels.

10. Apply Sunscreen

When you become pregnant your skin becomes more sensitive to sunscreen. You can easily get sunburn and chloasma, which are dark spots that sometimes appear on your face. Use sunscreen with at least 30 SPF or higher. Moreover, wear sunglasses and a hat.
