What Ingredients do I Need for Potato Chaat?

  • 1 cup Potato, Red Skin ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Chaat masala ( fresh ) - default
  • 0.5 cup Curd ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 handful Onion, Small ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 handful Tomato, Ripe, Local ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Chillies, Green - All Varieties ( fresh ) - default
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Black salt ( fresh ) - default

Instructions: How to Make Potato Chaat

  • Boil and Prep Potatoes
    Boil or steam potatoes until just tender, then dice them into medium cubes and let them cool completely. Optional: Lightly pan-fry or air-fry the cubes for extra crunch.
  • Make the Tangy Dressing
    In a bowl, whisk together plain yogurt (curd), tamarind or mint chutney, and key spices like chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and black salt.
  • Mix and Garnish
    Gently toss the cooled potato cubes with the tangy yogurt dressing. Mix in finely chopped onion, tomato, and fresh coriander leaves. Garnish with a sprinkle of sev (crispy chickpea noodles) or pomegranate seeds just before serving.
