  • 1 tsp ginger ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 handful Onion, Small ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 handful Tomato, Ripe, Local ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 pinch Salt ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Garam masala ( fresh ) - default

Instructions: How to Make Matar Paneer

  • Prepare the Base
    Heat ghee/oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds; once they sizzle, sauté the onions until golden brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chili, followed by the tomato puree and dry spices. Cook until the oil slightly separates from the masala.
  • Cook Peas and Gravy
    Add the green peas and a splash of water. Cover and cook for 4–5 minutes until the peas are tender.
  • Finish with Paneer
    Add the paneer cubes and salt. Simmer gently for another 3 minutes to allow the paneer to absorb the flavors without becoming rubbery. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with coriander.
