  • 1 tbsp Ginger, Fresh ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Jaggery, Cane ( fresh ) - default

Instructions: How to Make Golden Milk

  • Heat the Base
    Combine milk (dairy or plant-based, about 1 cup) with turmeric powder (or fresh grated turmeric) and a tiny pinch of black pepper. The pepper is crucial as it activates the curcumin in turmeric.
  • Flavor and Simmer
    Add a small piece of ginger (or ginger powder), cinnamon stick (or powder), a few strands of saffron (optional), and a natural sweetener like jaggery or honey (add honey after cooling). Gently simmer the mixture for 5-7 minutes. Strain the milk and serve warm.
