  • 4 cup milk - default
  • 1.5 tbsp Sugar ( fresh ) - default
  • 1 tsp Cardamom, Green - default
  • 2 tsp Cashew nuts - default
  • 1 tsp Ghee - default

Instructions: How to Make Millets (Kodo) Kheer

  • Prep
    Rinse the soaked Kodo millet thoroughly and drain the water.
  • Boil
    Bring the milk to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pan, then add the soaked millet.
  • Simmer
    Cook on low-medium heat, stirring frequently, for about 15–20 minutes until the grains are soft and the milk has reduced to a creamy consistency.
  • Finish
    Stir in the sweetener and cardamom powder; cook for another 2 minutes and garnish with nuts before serving warm or chilled.
