Palak Paneer Recipe

This Palak Paneer is a quintessential North Indian dish that features soft cubes of Indian cottage cheese (paneer) nestled in a thick, vibrant puree of spiced spinach. It is a nutritional powerhouse, offering a high concentration of calcium, iron, and complete proteins, making it one of the healthiest vegetarian meals in the world. • 1 tbsp Curd ( fresh ) - default

Instructions: How to Make Palak Paneer

  • Blanch and Puree
Blanch the spinach in boiling water for 2 minutes, then immediately shock in ice-cold water to retain the green color. Blend the cooled spinach with one green chili into a smooth puree.
  • Sauté Masala
Heat ghee/oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds; once they splutter, sauté onions and ginger-garlic paste until golden. Add tomatoes and dry spices, cooking until the tomatoes soften and oil slightly separates.
  • Simmer with Paneer
Pour paneer in the spinach puree and adjust consistency with a splash of water. Add salt and the raw (or lightly pan-seared) paneer cubes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes, sprinkle garam masala, and serve hot.
