What Ingredients do I Need for Bottle Gourd Puree (Lauki Puree)?

  • 100 g Bottle Gourd, Elongate, Pale Green - default
  • 1 tbsp Moong dal - default
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder - default

Instructions: How to Make Bottle Gourd Puree (Lauki Puree)

  • Cook
    Place the diced bottle gourd along with moong dal (1tbsp) in a pressure cooker or steamer with water and cook until the pieces are soft and translucent (about 1 whistle in a pressure cooker or 10 minutes steaming).
  • Blend
    Once cooled slightly, transfer the cooked gourd and moong dal (along with the nutrient-rich cooking water) into a blender and process until completely smooth.
  • Add seasoning (optional step only if made for adults)
    Add salt and cumin powder if made for 2yrs old and above.
