Instructions: How to Make Custard Apple Puree

  • De-seeding (The Main Task)
    Cut the custard apple in half and scoop out the pulp into a bowl. Use a thick-wired whisk or a specialized de-seeder to vigorously stir the pulp until the seeds separate; manually remove and discard all seeds.
  • Chilling
    Place the seedless pulp in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes. Custard apple tastes best and has a thicker, more custard-like consistency when served cold.
  • Blending
    Place the chilled pulp in a blender. Add a splash of water or coconut milk (optional) and a pinch of cardamom, then pulse for just 5–10 seconds to achieve a smooth, creamy texture without over-processing.
