What Ingredients do I Need for Gajar Halwa?

  • 1 glass milk - default
  • 2 tbsp Sugar - default
  • 1 tsp Cardamom, Green - default
  • 2 tbsp Ghee - default
  • 200 g Carrot, Red ( fresh ) - default

Instructions: How to Make Gajar Halwa

  • Sauté
    Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and sauté grated carrots for 5 minutes until they soften and change color.
  • Simmer
    Pour in the milk and cook on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the milk is completely absorbed by the carrots.
  • Sweeten
    Add sugar and cardamom powder; the mixture will loosen slightly as the sugar melts.
  • Finish
    Continue cooking until the halwa thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan. Garnish with nuts and serve warm.
