What Ingredients do I Need for Moong Dal Dosa?

  • 1 cup Green Gram, Whole - default
  • 0.5 cup Rice Flour - default
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds - default
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds - default
  • 1 tsp Ginger, Fresh - default
  • 1 tsp Salt - default
  • 3 tbsp Palm Oil - default

Instructions: How to Make Moong Dal Dosa

  • For the batter
    Soak the whole green moong dal, raw rice or rice flour and fenugreek seeds for 3-4 hrs. Over night is fine too. After soaking, drain the water and grind the mixture to a fine paste along with the cumin seeds,ginger and salt. Add upto a cup of water while grinding.
  • For making Dosa.
    Heat the dosa griddle until medium hot.
  • Add 1/3 cup batter and swirl to completely cover the dosa griddle. Sprinkle 1/4 tsp of oil or ghee to the pesarattu.
  • Cover the skillet with a pan and cook for 30 seconds. Cook until underside of the pesarattu dosa is golden brown more. Remove dosa from the griddle and repeat with remaining batter and serve that with chutney or achar .
