What Ingredients do I Need for Quinoa Kheer?

  • 0.5 cup Quinoa - default
  • 1 tsp Ghee - default
  • 1.5 cup milk - default
  • 3 tbsp Sugar - default
  • 1 tsp Cardamom, Green - default

Instructions: How to Make Quinoa Kheer

  • Rinse
    Thoroughly wash the quinoa under cold water to remove any bitterness (saponins).
  • Boil & Cook
    Add quinoa to a pan with 1/2 cup water and cook until the water is absorbed and the quinoa is translucent.
  • Simmer with Milk
    Pour in the milk and saffron; simmer on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring frequently until the mixture thickens.
  • Finish
    Stir in the sweetener and cardamom powder. Garnish with nuts and serve.
